There are many factors to consider when deciding what size curtains you will need for your home. You can start by measuring the windows that you want to hang the curtains above.

Next, take into account design factors. For example, you can hang your curtains for a more traditional look, so they are just touching the floor. Buying custom curtains will ensure that you have the right fit no matter what your needs are.

If you’re not sure, we provide a free measure and quote service. We’ll send someone out for an obligation free measure and let you know what kind of price you’re looking at.

The most simple way to clean your curtains is to vacuum them to remove any dust and dirt. If your curtains need a more thorough clean or you’ve had them for years, you may need to take them down and put them in the washing machine. Some curtain fabrics may require dry cleaning.

Before you purchase your new curtains, our friendly team will be able to talk you through the care and maintenance you will need to do.

Consider where the curtains will be placed in your home and what function you want them to have; for example, if privacy and light control are essential. Sheer curtains are a good option if you like to have some privacy while still allowing light coming through the room. However, if you are looking to have a home theatre, you can have curtains with fabulous insulation, acoustic, and room darkening properties.

Then you can move on to thinking about the design and aesthetic requirements of your curtains. If you’d like to know more, we’ve put together a handy guide on what to consider before you purchase your new curtains here
